Virginia Tech DT Luther Maddy to undergo surgery for meniscus tear, will miss 2-4 weeks

Virginia Tech has lost two straight games, and now it has lost its best defensive tackle for a few weeks with a knee injury. Starting defensive tackle Luther Maddy will undergo surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, Virginia Tech announced Monday morning. He's expected to miss 2-4 weeks, which could keep him out until the Miami game in late October.
