Florida State looming, but Notre Dame focused on UNC

It’s tempting to look ahead to Oct. 18. That’s when Notre Dame travels to Florida State in what might be an epic top-10 showdown. There will be plenty of storylines for that game, including the intriguing quarterback battle between Everett Golson and Jameis Winston. But the Irish have to get past North Carolina first. The Tar Heels (2-3) have dropped three consecutive games and have allowed 70, 50 and 34 points in those losses. (Chicago Sun-Times)
