Coming close to pulling off an historic upset over Notre Dame left UNC disappointed but encouraged heading into the second half of its schedule, which starts Saturday at Kenan Stadium against Georgia Tech. The Tar Heels put up a season-high 510 yards against one of the nation’s top defenses and forced three turnovers by Heisman Trophy candidate Everett Golson in the 50-43 loss.
