The NCAA's investigation into the Syracuse men's basketball program includes allegations involving extra benefits and academic impropriety that date back about 10 years, according to a report by ESPN.com on Thursday. The football team also is part of the investigation, though a source with knowledge of the case told Syracuse.com that Syracuse football coach Scott Shafer was informed by the university that the NCAA is focusing on a previous coaching regime.
