Roy Williams defends ethics; Swofford says he was unaware of issues at UNC

ACC Commissioner John Swofford said that he chose a career in athletics administration because of his belief in the marriage between academics and athletics. Swofford, who served as the athletic director at UNC from 1980-97 before assuming his current role, and Tar Heels coach Roy Williams faced questions about the failed marriage at UNC during the ACC’s preseason basketball event Wednesday.
