UNC faculty talk apology, forfeits for sham grades

UNC's Faculty Council met Friday with Chancellor Carol Folt to discuss an investigation that found that university leaders and faculty members missed or ignored red flags over an academic fraud scandal that ran for nearly two decades. Several professors said the school should apologize to Mary Willingham, a former learning specialist who went public with concerns about low reading levels for athletes and bogus grades.
