NJIT Shocks Michigan In The Biggest College Basketball Upset In Years
Posted Dec 6, 2014
NJIT, the nation’s only Division I independent, had never played a Top 25 team before Saturday, but the Highlanders went to Ann Arbor and stunned No. 17 Michigan, 72–70. NJIT, a 24.5-point underdog in the game, notched the biggest upset (in betting terms) since Gardner-Webb won at Kentucky in the 2007 Preseason NIT when the Wildcats were favored by 26.
