Balmy temperatures and palm trees were nowhere in evidence as North Carolina football coach Larry Fedora and UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham met the press in this Detroit suburb on Friday. Nor will there be when the Tar Heels face Rutgers in the Quick Lane Bowl on Dec. 26 at Detroit’s Ford Field, home of the NFL Lions.
