So while “stretch four” has a buzzy trendiness to it — try using the term at your next dinner party — as analytics continue changing perceptions about the most efficient ways to score, he (along with his cousin, the “stretch five”) is a player GM’s and coaches around the league covet. This is not a passing fad. Ed Davis has exactly none of those qualities.
