UNC system president Tom Ross leaving position

Tom Ross, the 17th president of the University of North Carolina system, is leaving his position, WRAL has learned. Ross was scheduled to speak on his decision in Friday's board of governors meeting. The 64-year-old Ross will leave the school next January, a board member told The Associated Press. The Greensboro native earned a law degree from UNC-Chapel Hill.
