Spurs' Green gets Stuart Scott tribute shoes, denied permission to wear them in game

San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green on Monday received a special pair of custom shoes, honoring the late ESPN anchor Stuart Scott. Green, a Tar Heel like Scott, wanted to wear these "STU"- and "BOOYAH"-emblazoned shoes Tuesday at the Denver Nuggets. However, per the Express-News, Green was denied permission to wear the shoes before the game.
