Tar Heel Ties: Rice, Frederick help guide Vandy

No. 6 seed Vanderbilt plays No. 2 seed Georgetown today at 7:27 p.m. in a game followed by top-seeded UNC against No. 5 seed Southern California. Victories by the Commodores and Tar Heels would set up a UNC family reunion of sorts. Joining Rice on Vanderbilt's staff is Brad Frederick, who played at UNC from 1997-99. Both are assistant coaches under Kevin Stallings, who was an assistant under UNC coach Roy Williams at Kansas. (Durham Herald-Sun)
