Ty Lawson is guy who sets pace for UNC

The Tar Heels got Lawson, a Clinton, Md., native, from Oak Hill Academy, and the day he arrived, the UNC backcourt got considerably better. Lawson's point guard status, heading into Friday night's Sweet 16 showdown with Southern California at East Rutherford, N.J., couldn't be better. He has 35 assists and seven turnovers in his last five games, three at the ACC Tournament two in the NCAAs. (Durham Herald-Sun)
