Honoring Coach Smith by opening doors

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in consultation with the Smith family, has created The Dean E. Smith Opening Doors Fund to honor the legacy of UNC’s legendary men’s basketball coach by providing access and opportunities to Carolina students for generations to come. The fund will support talented undergraduate students who need significant financial assistance to attend Carolina.
