Lefty Driesell encouraged son to emulate former rival Dean Smith

The late Dean Smith has been remembered this week for what a great coach he was. Lefty Driesell remembers what a great recruiter Smith was. Smith, the legendary North Carolina coach who died last weekend at the age of 83, and Driesell faced each other on the court many times when Driesell steered Maryland from 1969 to 1986.
