Dick Vitale saddened to miss calling first Duke - UNC game of his career


For the first time in more than 30 years, Dick Vitale won't play a part in calling the annual Duke - UNC rivalry game on ESPN, the network confirmed on Monday. Vitale, who has been calling the Blue Devils - Tar Heels rivalry since the network's inception in 1979, was taken off the broadcast this year in a move that seems to mark a transition to ESPN spotlighting fellow analyst Jay Bilas.
