Dean Smith's Tar Heel family bids farewell from their seats in the sky

Nearly an hour before Sunday's memorial for Dean Smith, only three of the seats in Section 228 were taken. Stuart Burroughs, Ellyn Courts and Mary Beth Montgomery had claimed three seats in Row K. "This was a very special gentleman," said Burroughs, a Carolina blue sweater slung over her shoulders. Courts and Burroughs, both of Chapel Hill, are longtime Tar Heels fans.
