UNC academic scandal costs Jan Boxill her job

Philosophy lecturer and former Faculty Council Chairwoman Jan Boxill has ended her attempts to keep a job at UNC Chapel Hill after an investigation pegged her as a key player in the “paper classes” scandal. A March 2 letter from Boxill to Provost Jim Dean confirmed that she would resign and file the necessary paperwork to claim her state retirement benefits. UNC released a copy the letter on Thursday. (Durham Herald-Sun)
