UNC suspends tailback Barrington Edwards

The University of North Carolina has suspended tailback Barrington Edwards indefinitely, the school announced today. Edwards, who transferred to the Tar Heels from LSU, has been suspended for violating team rules and university policies. He will not participate in spring practice and will remain on scholarship this semester, the school said. Edwards was second on the Heels in rushing last season with 330 yards.
