Tyler Hansbrough will test new version of mask
Posted Mar 14, 2007
Tyler Hansbrough likely will continue to wear a protective facemask during UNC's first-round NCAA Tournament game against Eastern Kentucky. But it will be modified. The eyes holes of the clear thermoplastic mask he donned during the ACC Tournament have been adjusted, "so hopefully it doesn't interfere as much" with his vision, head men's basketball trainer Marc Davis said. Meanwhile, Davis expects a new mask made by a specialist in Detroit to arrive in Winston-Salem by the time the team gets there today.
