Second-Half Run Lifts UNC Lacrosse Past Virginia

The fourth-ranked UNC men’s lacrosse team broke open a tie game in the third quarter by outscoring sixth-ranked Virginia 6-1 over a span of 25 minutes to put away a 10-6 victory. Steve Pontrello scored back-to-back goals for UNC at 12:39 and 11:47 of the third quarter to give the Tar Heels the lead for good and they went on to improve to 11-1 overall and 2-0 in the ACC.
