Class of 2015 standout Malik Newman on Friday publicly committed to play college basketball at Mississippi State in a development that gives Ben Howland a five-star recruit just one month after agreeing to become the Bulldogs' head coach. 247 Sports ranks Newman No. 5 in the Class of 2015. The 6-foot-4 point guard is considered the nation's top prospect at his position. DraftExpress.com projects Newman to be selected fourth overall in the 2016 NBA Draft.
