New Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins is a Tar Heel

One of North Carolina's major technology employers, Cisco Systems, has named Chuck Robbins as CEO to replace John Chambers. Cisco has about 4,500 employees in Research Triangle Park. But that campus won't be the new CEO's only connection to the area — Robbins is a Tar Heel, holding a bachelor’s degree in mathematics with a computer science concentration from UNC Chapel Hill.
