Report: WR Kyran Bowman to de-commit from UNC, pursue basketball

Class of 2016 North Carolina wide receiver commit Kyran Bowman (Havelock, NC) plans to de-commit from the Tar Heels. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound 247Sports Composite three-star prospect has been committed to UNC for over a year. "Kyran Bowman is no longer part of our football program," Havelock High School head football coach Jim Bob Byrant told CarolinaBlue on Thursday. "He is going to focus on basketball. He is going to de-commit from North Carolina." Bowman originally committed to UNC on March 20th of 2014.
