Virginia pounded out 16 hits and completed a three-game sweep with an 8-2 win over North Carolina Saturday at Boshamer Stadium. Matt Thaiss had three hits and drove in three runs to lead the Cavaliers, who clinched the No. 7 seed in next week's ACC tournament. Tyler Ramirez hit his ninth home run of the year for Carolina, which suffered a second straight series sweep for the first time since 2001.
