The Pick: North Carolina, but not for certain

UNC slipped on a bunch of banana peels down the stretch, absolutely melted at Maryland and treated defense like a sweat-transmitted disease at Georgia Tech. Even so, the Tar Heels wore down Duke for the second time last Sunday, 86-72. Bloody but unbowed, they coaxed a rare concession from Coach Mike Krzyzewski: "Carolina is better than we are."
