One swing from Kyle Seager gets Mariners rolling to big 9-3 victory in Cleveland
Posted Jun 11, 2015
Entering Wednesday, the Mariners hadn’t scored more than three runs in a game since May 27, a span of 13 games. It’s a team-record streak of offensive futility, and the longest in the American League since 1972. Wednesday night, in the third inning of a scoreless game at Progressive Field, Kyle Seager ended all that with a single swing of his bat. Seager’s grand slam off Cleveland starter Trevor Bauer jump-started the Mariners offense.
