Tar Heels To Extend Roy Williams' Contract Through 2020

The University of North Carolina and head men’s basketball coach Roy Williams have agreed in principle to extend his contract through the 2019-20 season and increase the compensation package for the Hall of Famer and two-time national championship-winning coach. Next season, Williams will begin his 13th year as the head coach at his alma mater and his 28th as a collegiate coach. He sports an overall record of 750-202.
