Former UNC TE Commit Avery Edwards Joins Terps
Posted Jul 13, 2015
Maryland has added former North Carolina tight end commit Avery Edwards, who was charged with felony larceny for stealing more than $50,000 of jewelry, according to authorities, in June 2014. The Terps looked at him two years ago when he was in high school, but the Raleigh, N.C., native committed to his state school instead. Edwards never played for the Tar Heels, though, after he was arrested. The charges have since been dismissed.
