ESPN Drops Colin Cowherd After Remarks on Dominicans
Posted Jul 24, 2015
ESPN dropped the radio host Colin Cowherd on Friday, hours after he clumsily tried to explain comments he made Thursday that seemed to denigrate the intelligence of Dominicans in baseball. In the comments on his program on Thursday, Cowherd had questioned those who say baseball is complex by saying: “Like I’ve never bought into that, ‘Baseball’s just too complex.’ Really? A third of the sport is from the Dominican Republic.”
