Current, Former Tar Heels Claim Gold With USA Field Hockey

Team USA – featuring five current or former Tar Heels – won gold in women’s field hockey on Friday at the Pan American Games in Toronto, beating Argentina 2-1 in the final. That’s Team USA’s second straight Pan Am Games title; they also beat Argentina in the final in 2011.
