Tony Kornheiser Calls John Calipari a ‘Gangster’ and ‘Sonny Corleone’
Posted Aug 14, 2015
Tony Kornheiser checked in on “Pardon the Interruption” Thursday by calling Kentucky’s John Calipari a “gangster.” “I loved Calipari until today,” Kornheiser said. “I love him 10 times more now because he’s established that he is a gangster. He thrives in it. He wants to be in it. He’s Sonny Corleone.” Kornheiser’s partner, Jason Whitlock, did not concur. The comments came in the wake of a report that Calipari got into a confrontation three years ago over a recruit.
