North Carolina football confident of better times ahead

For all the turmoil surrounding the UNC football program the past seven years - NCAA sanctions and two major investigations, a stretch of three coaches in three years - the team has been remarkably consistent on the field in terms of finishing numbers. The Tar Heels have won seven or eight games in six of those seven seasons, failing to finish above .500 only last year (6-7, 4-4).
