Tar Heels fall back to tie for ACC's top spot

Leave it to a pack of turtles to catch the front-running rabbit from behind. Maryland rallied from a 13-point deficit Sunday night to beat No. 5 North Carolina 89-87 in men's basketball, robbing the Tar Heels of sole possession of first place in the ACC. UNC (24-5, 10-4 ACC) dropped into a three-way tie for first place with Virginia and Virginia Tech, who play each other Thursday night. (Durham Herald-Sun)
