Notes: Tar Heels do it with defense

Though NC State coach Sidney Lowe's halftime departure to be treated for dehydration certainly affected Wednesday's rematch, Roy Williams was pleased with UNC's defense in an 83-64 victory. "We wanted to get them off the block and not let 'em catch it low," Williams said. "And if they did catch it, we wanted to stay down and not try to block the shot. If you're the guy guarding him, try to make him shoot it over you." (Charlotte Observer)
