Expectations about playing time can affect a player’s psyche if they aren’t met … unless he has no such expectations. When the 2012 Mr. Football in the state of Ohio decided to play at North Carolina, quarterback Mitch Trubisky probably didn’t envision that he would be consigned to mostly mop-up duty against an overmatched FCS opponent in 2015.
