Heels defeat Pack 83-64; Lowe falls ill


Few expected North Carolina to lose to N.C. State again, and the fifth-ranked Tar Heels didn’t Wednesday night. But no one could have predicted what befell the Wolfpack, which lost the game 83-64 at the Smith Center and had to play the second half with its coach, Sidney Lowe, who had to be taken to a nearby hospital after feeling faint at halftime.
