No teams are guaranteed playing time in March

Five North Carolina teams landed in the bracket last season – Davidson, Duke, North Carolina, N.C. State and UNC-Wilmington – but fewer than that could pass muster with the selection committee next month. While the regular season continues to wind toward its conclusion, only the Tar Heels, ranked No. 4 this week in both major polls, are a lock to compete for the national championship.
