Wofford faces No. 1 team for first time
Posted Nov 18, 2015
Wofford basketball has smoked ’em in recent years on Tobacco Road. But this one is the big cigar. The Terriers play top-ranked North Carolina at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Dean Smith Center. They have never before been on the same court with the No. 1 team in the nation, having lost twice to No. 2, last New Year’s Eve against Duke (84-55) and in 1997 against soon-to-be No. 1 Wake Forest (68-51) with future NBA star Tim Duncan.
