Narrow win won't doom North Carolina's playoff hopes


So, did a three-point win on the road in an emotion-filled environment, in a game North Carolina led by 14 with less than five minutes to play, really hurt UNC’s playoff hopes? The Tar Heels are playing to an inside straight to begin with. The selection committee’s routine undervaluation of their work is clear, and so there may not be any true path to the playoff by the metrics used inside that room. (ESPN.com)
