Nattily dressed in a black pin-striped suit with his dreadlocks in a ponytail and carrying an attaché, USA TODAY's Defensive Player of the Year from Ballou High made his first important decision. "I'm a Tar Heel," he told a national television audience announcing he'd signed a binding national letter-of-intent to play football at the University of North Carolina. (USA Today)
