How Frank Beamer's football program fuels southwest Virginia

There's no doubt that football's ascension means big business for Blacksburg and the surrounding area, but until this year, there were few concrete figures to reflect its fiscal impact. In April, VT's Office of Economic Development published a study claiming that football brings roughly $69 million to the New River Valley each year, and supports just under 300 jobs in the region.
