With solid pieces like shooting guard Bryce Alford, son of coach Steve Alford, and 6-9 senior forward Tony Parker, the Bruins can hang with most teams. However, as they’ve shown earlier this season, they can also struggle. With an eight-man rotation, UCLA isn’t a particularly deep team. That situation could be made worse by the absence of reserve guard Prince Ali.
