Nobel winner Aziz Sancar to donate prize money to Chapel Hill foundation

Aziz Sancar, the Sarah Graham Kenan Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics, is under contract with the Nobel Foundation to donate the entire share of his 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry award money to the Aziz & Gwen Sancar Foundation of Chapel Hill. Sancar’s total prize money exceeds $310,000, one-third of the total prize amount.
