ACC Football Trying Again to Gussy Up its Image

ACC coaches and players gathered at last week's Football Kickoff at Greensboro, Georgia, spent a great deal of time defending the quality of ACC competition compared to other conferences. And for good reason, given low power ratings, a 1-9 record in Bowl Championship Series games, a paucity of top-10 teams, and the failure to send a squad to a BCS title game since 2000, a period in which every other power conference had at least two representatives.
