Tobacco Road football still lagging behind basketball

North Carolina and N.C. State faced opponents in postseason play from traditional football leagues that have regularly appeared in the national Top 25 rankings, and the results weren't favorable. The Tar Heels and Wolfpack not only suffered losses, but they were manhandled by Baylor of the Big 12 Conference and Mississippi State from the Southeastern Conference. (Fayetteville Observer)
