David Bowie’s legacy lives on in UNC history
Posted Jan 14, 2016
Nearly 30 years ago, David Bowie rocked the Smith Center — not once, but twice. The first time was in 1987 for his Glass Spider Tour, and the second was in 1990 for his Sound + Vision Tour. Bowie, the rock star who transcended musical boundaries and captivated audiences all over the world, died on Sunday at the age of 69 after an 18-month battle with cancer.
