Dustin Ackley receives raise, avoids arbitration

The New York Yankees announced Friday that they avoided arbitration with two players—right-hander Michael Pineda and utility infielder/outfielder Dustin Ackley. A person with knowledge of Yankees personnel decisions confirmed to NJ Advance Media that Pineda will be paid $4.3 million for 2016 and Ackley will make $3.2 million.
