Chazz Surratt earns national honors

MaxPreps announced Thursday it has named East Lincoln quarterback Chazz Surratt its national small schools player of the year, giving the future Tar Heel a full circle of local-, state- and national-level awards. Surratt has already been named the Gatorade N.C. Football Player of the Year, and was voted the state’s offensive player of the year by the Associated Press. (Lincoln Times-News)
