Tar Heels try to conjure up answer for shooting slump

North Carolina has reached the verge of returning to the top spot in the national rankings in spite of its low-grade shooting recently. The Tar Heels, who could be back at No. 1 on Monday with a victory Sunday at Virginia Tech, have weathered back-to-back games of shooting worse than 39 percent from the field, their least accurate performances of the season.
